Why Is Synchronous E-Learning an Effective Way to Merge Sustainability with OHS?

This course explains the interconnection between sustainability and occupational health and safety. Participants will learn from foundational understanding of sustainability to implementation strategies and evaluation principles including professional sustainability report writing.

With real-world case studies and hands-on exercises, participants will gain a deep understanding of how sustainability impacts OHS, so they can apply it in the workplace to create safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplaces.

Course Completion Requirements
•⁠ ⁠A minimum attendance of 75% is required.
•⁠ ⁠All required assessments must be completed and passed.

Certificate Issuance

Upon passing the assessment(s), participants will receive:

1. A Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore, certifying that they have achieved the following Competency Standard(s): HAS-ENV-3002-1.1

2. QES Certificate with SDU points

UEN/Foreign Entity Number: 201422488N

SkillsFuture Credit eligible
UTAP grant supported, able to claim up to 50% of course fee.

From Merging Sustainability with OHS Course, Learners will be able to learn:

Learning Outcomes:

  • LO1: Promote awareness of sustainability strategies by communicating their tools and resources to relevant stakeholders.
  • LO2: Stay updated on industry sustainability guidelines to align sustainability reporting with current regulations and standards.
  • LO3: Support the implementation of sustainability strategies by integrating them into organizational processes.
  • LO4: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability programs.

Learning Units:

  • LU1: Overview of Sustainability
  • LU2: Sustainability Reporting and Communication
  • LU3: Implementation of Sustainability Strategies
  • LU4: Evaluation of Sustainability Programmes
  • Aged 21 and above;
  • Have minimum GCE “N”, “O” or “A” Level / NITEC or a diploma or higher qualification;

This course is designed for professionals, managers, and individuals from a wide range of industries, including but not limited to manufacturing, construction, healthcare, and services, who are interested in promoting sustainability and improving occupational health and safety within their organizations.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Ability to articulate the importance of sustainability in enhancing occupational health and safety practices.
  • Proficiency in utilizing tools and methods to assess and report on the effectiveness of sustainability programs.
